Having built a successful business at the global wealth firm, Edward Jones, Pip was invited to join St. James’s Place when Edward Jones left the UK in 2010.
Pips natural ability to put people at ease and develop a rapport quickly combined with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and the determination to succeed meant that he was able to forge many deep relationships based on trust, honesty and clear and open communication.
Always looking to exceed clients’ expectations, Pip believes that the most fundamental aspect of the bespoke service that he provides is that of listening carefully to, and understanding the needs and aspirations of his clients.
In his spare time Pip enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Pip is a qualified Financial Adviser and holds a DipPFS qualification.
He is also an accredited Later Life Advisor and as such, holds the CF8 Accreditation.
When providing advice on such important matters as someone’s current and future financial security, it is essential that we understand both their circumstances and the technical issues that will affect their options and choices.
I believe that professional qualifications are more than an indicator of ability, they demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commitment to provide advice at the highest level. Initially an electronics engineer, I have been advising on financial matters since 1990, always with the aim of providing personal, reliable and accurate advice, and a friendly, professional service.
I passed the Financial Planning Certificate in 1990, and the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate in 1996, and continued to study thereafter. I was a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association in 2004, and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2012, and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Association in 2016.
As a Chartered Financial Planner, I am amongst the highest qualified advisers in the UK.
I will continue to ensure that my knowledge is in depth and current.
However, it is impossible to be an expert on all matters and therefore essential that we have established relationships with other advisers on whose expertise and experience we can rely.
Personal experience combined with partnership working gives our clients the best chance of obtaining balanced, expert advice.

Billy is a new addition to both the Practice and St. James's Place. He joined St. James's Place in early 2019 and has joined Samra Wealth a few months later. Having attended the University of Nottingham and graduating with a BSc (Hons) Finance, Accounting and Management, alongside previous experience as a service professional means he has a wealth of experience in many aspects of the business.
It is the challenging and problem-solving nature of financial advice which drew Billy to the industry, and he is currently working towards his professional qualifications with the aim to one day provide advice himself.
In his spare time Billy enjoys bouldering and staying active.
Rapinder joined the team in 2010 after many years in the accountancy industry.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Finance and Management and this, coupled with her strong accountancy background, mean that Rapinder's role naturally includes overall responsibility for completion of the company accounts.
Having a particular interest in pensions, Rapinder also supports Pip, our Financial Adviser, by liasing with investment product providers, preparing detailed reports for reviews and putting our client specific investment strategies into action.
In her spare time Rapinder enjoys cookery, music and spending quality time with her two young daughters.
